a.)Newspaper Article-
Situation: In a newsroom or wherever the reader is reading the news paper.
Channel: The newspaper
Sender: The reporter
Receiver: The editor or reader of the story
Encoding: This is the reporter writing and editing the article
Decoding: This is the reader or editor reading the article
Message: The article and subject of the story
Feedback: Letters to the editor
Noise: This can be literal noise around the reader, bias, a poor print job, a ruined newspaper, a bias, or a bad article.
b.)Magazine Article-
Situation: In an magazine office or wherever the reader is reading the magazine
Channel:The magazine
Sender: The writer and editor of the magazine
Receiver: The editor or reader
Encoding: The writing of the story or editing of the story
Decoding: The reading of the story
Message: The subject of the story
Feedback: Letters to the editor
Noise: A poorly formatted page, a ruined magazine, a poorly written story, literal noise, or a bias
c.)Radio Program-
Situation: The radio station or wherever the listener is
Channel: The radio station
Sender: The DJ or if listeners are allowed to call in and comment, the listeners
Receiver: The listeners
Encoding: Topics of the discussion or a playlist for the day
Decoding: The listener listening to the music or talk radio
Message: The message of the music or DJ
Feedback: When readers call in to request songs or to talk
Noise: Static, bias, literal noise, or unpopular topics.
d.)Television Show-
Situation: The studio (recording a show) or wherever the viewers are
Channel: The television
Sender: The producers of the station
Receiver: The viewers
Encoding: Script writing, research, preparation, recording of shows
Decoding: the viewers watching the show
Message: the subject of the show
Feedback: Emailing or calling the station
Noise: Static, literal noise, bad programming
